Hello, my name is Sammy Sehak and I am the creator of MeasureClose. After more than two decades in the flooring business, I decided to build this program from scratch. During those years, I found myself depending on multiple programs, websites, and applications just to run one business, one for CRM and scheduling, another for measurements, cloud synchronization, proposals, work orders, production, and payments. The same customer and project information had to be carried from one program to another. I knew there had to be a better way. Running a flooring business shouldn't mean entering the same information into disconnected programs over and over again. MeasureClose connects the office and the field in one workflow from the initial lead and appointment through the in-home measurement, product selection, estimating proposal options, contract payment options, and production.

The dashboard brings the business into view, giving the office a starting point for daily work and follow-up.

The pipeline shows opportunities by stage, helping the team see where attention and follow-up are needed.

The Customer Hub connects the relationship with its projects and history, so another job doesn’t have to mean another customer record.

The company calendar supports coordinating visits and seeing the schedule. Customer context stays part of the conversation.

Inside the project workspace, the office can follow project information, Field work, and documents. Main Office and the Field tablet are connected workspaces: Save Project saves locally on the tablet; Sync All deliberately uploads when connected.

The agreement presents the proposed work by room and scope. These sample documents retain the contractor’s own branding and identity.

Its totals and signature section keep the commercial summary with the agreement, ready for the customer’s review and approval.

Back in Main, staff manage approval and payment links and open the saved signed document. This is the office’s approval-management view, not the customer signing page.

Payment options connect the customer’s next step with the agreement, while the office can follow the payment request.

The ledger separates requests, recorded payments, and balances. This example still shows Payment Requested and a reconciliation notice. It does not show a completed, reconciled payment.

Production and sold jobs carry the work forward, helping the office prepare what the team needs after the sale.

A work order organizes crew scope, instructions, and selected attachments, including drawings and installer sheets. This example is a demonstration draft, not a packet sent to a crew.

Project Financials compares the sold estimate with recorded and committed costs and projected margin. This example has no recorded costs yet, so its displayed margin is not a completed job’s profit.

The job costing report’s Sold Cost Baseline shows estimated costs and expected margin at signing, providing a reference for later cost review.

Commission views bring estimator compensation into the office workflow, with estimated, eligible, and paid amounts shown separately.

Supporting reports help the office review the sales funnel,

compare sales categories,

and understand lead-source performance.

Catalog importing and updating supports maintaining the working product information.

Company settings bring configuration together,

and the detailed manual provides guidance as staff learn the workflow.

MeasureClose remains Coming Soon. Marketing, expanded booking, full accounting, broader payouts, warehouse tools, and expanded catalogs are in ongoing development. These fictional examples illustrate the workflow; they are not one continuous transaction.

Introduction

Hi, I'm Sammy. Let's take MeasureClose into the home. Follow this fictional project as we measure four rooms, choose carpet and vinyl, prepare a shower option, and review estimates and proposals. You'll see the actual Field tablet app, with the office handoff at the end.

The assigned project

The Field app starts with the customer's assigned visit. Taylor Bennett is a fictional customer, scheduled with Sam Ishak. The project home keeps measurements, options, estimates, and proposals together. For this tour, we are building a flooring and shower project using the actual tablet screens.

Draw and measure

First, create the rooms and enter their dimensions. Here, an exact rectangular room gives us a clear starting point. Each room can be named and arranged on the canvas. We build two bedrooms, a living room, and a dining room. Measurements stay inside the walls, so neighboring rooms remain easier to read. The estimator reviews the dimensions and layout before moving on.

Conditions and doors

Next, record what is already in each room. Existing flooring, subfloor, furniture, and baseboards help describe the work required. These are selections made by the estimator, not guesses from a picture. We also add doors to the bedrooms. The opening appears on the room drawing, keeping the measurement and site details together.

Choose the flooring

Now choose the proposed materials. In this example, the living and dining rooms receive vinyl, while both bedrooms receive carpet. The downloaded catalog provides product descriptions and saved pricing. The drawing shows the assignments, and the option planner organizes the rooms into carpet and vinyl groups. Review the installation choices, removal, preparation, and accessories for each group.

Review carpet cuts

Carpet planning takes us beyond a standard waste allowance. Open the optimizer to inspect the room cuts and their placement on the roll. This particular two-bedroom layout shows thirty-five point three three square yards and six percent waste. That is a result for these rooms, not a guaranteed saving on every job. Review the cuts, seams, and material direction before adopting the quantity. The placement panel also provides exact position controls and layout review tools.

Review the estimate

The worksheet brings the scope and quantities together. Review descriptions, unit costs, selling prices, margins, and tax settings before creating the customer proposal. Catalog selections can be changed, and manual lines can cover project-specific work. This is a fictional demonstration project. Its amounts are examples, not advertised prices or an authorization to perform work.

A separate shower option

The same project can also include bathroom and shower work. Here, we prepare a separate guest shower option with a complete replacement package. Its estimate and proposal stay individually identifiable, so the customer can review that scope alongside the flooring work. The proposal shows the selected package, payment instructions, tax, and total.

The customer proposal

The flooring proposal presents the selected carpet and vinyl scope in customer-facing sections. The estimator can review the document before asking for approval. This saved example totals six thousand, two hundred eighty-six dollars and twenty-eight cents. Its payment schedule shows equal deposit and balance amounts. Both demonstration proposals remain unsigned; no payment has been collected.

Save and hand off to Main

Finally, save the project and wait for the tablet's verified local-save message. When connected, use Sync All to send saved work to Main. The office should then open the same customer and project and verify the received drawing, estimates, and proposal totals. That final check completes the handoff from field preparation to office follow-through, with the original options kept together in the project.
